An interactive installation in which the participants are immersed in a sensory-stimulating environment designed to guide them through the process of a verbal, yet secretive, release. The enclosure is a wooden, grass-lined fortress made from primarily found and recycled materials in which the viewer must crawl inside. It is designed to stimulate a playful, child-like introduction to the space. Upon entering the installation, participants follow a series of instructions. A sound piece and headphone set is provided, allowing for a more quieted, introspective environment as they are asked to reflect on their secrets, the things they feel they cannot say, the untold. Once they have chosen one, they deposit the secret through spoken word into the installation. The final step is to label their secret with the reason they feel it can't be told. With each contribution, the installation grows, transforming the space into a visual representation of collective support.
